How do I meet the prerequisite for advanced instructor-led training? – F5 Education Services

Many F5 advanced training classes have a prerequisite that per F5 policy must be met before registration will be accepted at any location world-wide.

Our goal with the prerequisite requirement is to ensure that all students are satisfied with the class. The class mustn’t be slowed down by anyone who is unprepared, and no one should be frustrated because the class is not covering the concepts from the beginning.

Course Names

Prerequisite – Students must complete ONE of these:

Configuring LTM

Developing iRules

Troubleshooting BIG-IP

Configuring APM

Configuring AFM

Configuring BIG-IQ

Attend an Administering BIG-IP instructor-led class
Achieve F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator certification
Pass the free Administering BIG-IP Course Equivalency Assessment with a score of 70% or higher

To complete free Administering BIG-IP Course Equivalency Assessment:

Login to the Education Services Portal and then click this link: Equivalency Assessment
The Assessment takes 30 minutes or less and students have 3 attempts to achieve a passing score.
Once you pass the Assessment, you will be able to register for F5 Advanced instructor-led training classes.
