Answer:
You should get preliminary exam results from the test delivery provider on the day you take your exam. Preliminary results are pass/fail and, while not official results rarely differ from official results.
An official score report is generated within 72-hours of your exam appointment. This accounts for the time it takes to retrieved your exam from the local test location back to the central test delivery provider network, synchronizing those results with our systems, and conducting algorithmic analysis of results to identify potential anomalies with the results.
The score report includes candidate ID, exam date/time, candidate score, the required passing score, and in some cases, a subjective, section-level feedback section on failed exams.
You will receive an email from the candidate portal when your official results are available.
Example:
To find a score report:
- Log into the candidate portal.
- Select My Profile from the account dropdown menu
- Select the Certifications tab
- Scroll down to Completed Exams
- Locate the exam score report you want to view, select the Score Report button to download your score report (Note: Click on the column headings to sort by exam name, date of exam, score, or result)
- Click on the Score Report button to download and view a score report
Candidates who pass their exams will receive an official score report without any other details other than their score; just like the one below.
For failed exams (101, 201, 301a and 401), candidates will get an official score report as well as the section-level feedback. Below is an example on the breakdown of failed exam results.
