Answer:
F5 has a strict retake policy preventing candidates from retaking exams repeatedly. This policy is to protect the integrity of the assessment process and the exam materials rather than be punitive to candidates; however, candidates are advised to keep the policy in mind.
- After the First failed attempt, candidates will not be eligible to take the exam again for 15-days;
- After the Second failed attempt . . . 30-days;
- After the Third failed attempt . . . 45-days;
- After the Fourth failed attempt . . . 365-days;
- After the Fifth and subsequent failed attempts . . . 90-days.
Only after a candidate passes a particular exam, will the retake count be reset to "first attempt".
Candidates will be issued authorization to schedule their next attempt within 45-days of the first eligible day they can schedule the exam (or immediately if the hold period is less than 45-days). The authorization will allow immediate scheduling, but only for dates past the retake hold period.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must schedule and pay for each attempt, regardless of retake count.
Examples:
if a candidate takes an exam on January 1st and fails it, they will be issued an eligibility once the failed exam has been processed, but the eligibility will not allow the candidate to take an exam until January 16th.
If a candidate took their fourth exam on January 1st and fails it, they would not be eligible to take the exam again until the following January 1st. 45 days prior (approximately November 16th), they will be issued an authorization to schedule the exam, but not for any date before the January 1st date they are allowed.
