Answer:
All candidates who would have a "final renew" date (What is the difference between "Expired" and "Final Renew" dates for my certification?) prior to December 31st, 2022 will have their final renew date set to December 31st, 2022 as part of our final COVID-19 mitigation implementation. This will allow candidates additional time to renew their expired certifications in light of test center lock-downs and other COVID-19-related challenges.
Please Note: This is not an extension of the validity of your certification, only an extension of the grace period to renew. As such, it can affect the validity of your next certification: Why isn't my renewed certification valid for 2-years from my testing date?
Example:
Let's say your current certification expires in February of 2022. Normally, the 30-day grace period would allow you to renew that certification with a final renew date through March of 2022; however, as part of our COVID-19 mitigation plan, your final renew date will instead be set to December of 2022.
